A Late Night Dream

I awoke in the middle of the night, sometime around 3 AM. I stumbled from my bed, sat down and turned on my computer. These words were in my head as I began to type.

The Love of God is flowing through the Heart of Humanity

Like a great river, powerful beyond measure

It sweeps us before it, carrying all in Its love

Let those who have eyes, see its brilliance

Let those who can hear, lift their heads to listen

And let those who can feel it, dance with hearts of joy

It is a song I have waited all my life to hear

It’s voice races through my veins, a torrent of love

The fire approached, raising a fearful wall among us

When the heat of its breath was on our face, when it seared our flesh

The Great God of the Universe quenched the inferno we had created

Returning us to love and the protection of Its Arms.

We are awakened now from the darkness of our deep dream

We will never sleep again

For the Blessed time of Your arrival is here

The Glory of God is with us, His Children.

We are One

As I typed the last word, I heard a rare and beautiful sound – a summer desert rain tapping upon my roof. Released from my sleep, I ran in my nakedness out the door into the rain. I dwelt in the luxury of its cool touch upon my dry skin. The Love of God was there, washing my soul, cleansing me with kindness. A miracle was my reward.
